This is the kind of horror movie that makes you laugh, gasp, and seriously reconsider meeting your significant other’s family. Jordan Peele serves up social satire sharper than a corkscrew, and just as essential when you’re a few sangrias deep trying to process what’s happening on screen.
By the time the teacup clinks and hypnosis hits, you’ll be clutching your glass like it’s a life preserver. “Get Out” proves that sometimes the real monster isn’t in the basement…it’s waiting at the bottom of your sangria glass looking like a piece of grapefruit. I see you, demon!!
