Jeepers Creepers Reborn

Jeepers Creepers Reborn
2/10

“Jeepers Creepers: Reborn” feels less like a horror movie and more like the result of someone losing a bet at a Halloween party after too much sangria. The film tries to reboot the Creeper mythos but ends up rebooting my patience instead. The dialogue sounds like it was written by someone who just Googled “how do teenagers talk,” and the scares are about as effective as a plastic spider in a punch bowl. Even the Creeper himself looks like he’s debating whether to terrorize people or just give up and start a roadside fruit stand.

About halfway through, I realized the only thing being reborn was my glass of sangria and wish I was watching something else—like paint dry, or maybe a grass growing. The movie promises fear but delivers confusion, like it got lost on its way to the editing room. Felt nothing like the first two incredible flicks. Two thumbs down, nine sangrias up—for courage.
