Lamberto Bava and Dario Argento are back with a splat. Demons 2 is exactly what the sequel should’ve been; a transfer of the horrors to a different setting. This time, an apartment complex gets overrun by demons who hate birthday parties. After watching a news special about a group who revives a demon from the first movie, all hell breaks loose and the tenants of the high rise are hunted down and possessed.
Loved that this was just as rockin’ as the first if not slightly more surreal. Fun to see young Asia Argento’s film debut as well. Hated the acting in most scenes but that’s kind of a fun part of this schlock-fest; it’s cheesy and drenched in red sauce, just like a good Italian pizza.
