Nic Cage!! As (Bela Lugosi as) Dracula!! Blood drunk and mind blown. The downright insanity of this movie was so much fun. Renfield, a drooling parasite in standard vampire fiction is brought to crimson life by Nicholas Hoult bringing him out from under Dracula’s cape. The ultra violence was fun and the comedy of the movie landed well with me.
Loved Ben Schwartz as Teddy Leo and Awkwafina as Renfield’s Renfield. Hated Dracula’s undoing and thought Cage could’ve let the tiger outta the bag a little more. Bonus with William Ragsdale as the quickly defeated priest. (You’re so cool, Brewster).
