I poured my ritualistic glass of sangria to match the blood theme I was hoping for, but halfway through I needed the whole barrel just to survive this beast. Talisa Soto looks great in her comic-inaccurate, Halloween-store outfit, but the movie’s budget must’ve been spent on fake fangs and fog machines. It’s like Barbarella met a discount Dracula at Spirit Halloween.
As a comic fan, I was just mainly disappointed. Still, with enough fruit fly fodder, it’s a campy masterpiece. Made Halloween: Resurrection look like Weapons, though. Boom…Horror burned.
